The Washington Central Hotel and restaraunt approached me looking for a logo for a proposed Rhythm and Blues festival in their brand colours (orange and navy).

I played off the style of their pre-existing logo to create variations on the sort of instruments "Rhythm and Blues" may encompass: brass, saxophones and guitars. The result was a fusion of their brand with the requested concept.
